Episode: “Baby’s
in Black/Misery”, in which Ringo mistakes Transylvania for Pennsylvania and
lands the Fab Four in the lab of a mad doc who wants Paul to marry the
bat-woman he created and Dracula comes to life in a wax museum to chase the
guys around and around. Never the most imaginative cartoon, The Beatles
regularly defaulted to monster movie tropes, and the fact that both segments in
the series’ fifth episode trade in creepy stuff makes it the natural choice for
31 TV Shows for 31 Days of Halloween
Season. The “Chains” sing-a-long that depicts The
Beatles locked up on a slave ship is creepy for totally different reasons.
